We loved the Boston regional pit announcer too!
On Thursday night a delegation from 467 thanked her. She was awesome.

At the Florida Reional team XXX asked for a compressor so that they could "blow up their robot." Half the people in the pits burst out laughing and the other half had an "I don't get it" expression on their face.

At NYC, team 375 asked for a crystal for a flux capacitor. Another team then said "tell team 375 to visit team XXX for their crystal'. Another team then said "Team XXX is looking to borrow said flux capacitor." This went on for about 5 minutes of announcements. The pit announcer then had to pull this same conversation again between the end of alliance pairings and the start of the elimination matches.

LOL!! I did that to a guy on our team. He was walkin around for a while looking for it, then when another guy on our team made fun of him, he got mad and asked the other guy to go look for a board stretcher, which then of course, the other guy went running to the pits to look for it, and comes back about 10 mins later saying he couldn't find one. It was pretty funny for those sitting back and watching.

at West MI they asked Saturday morning for someone to come up and sing ... and then some guy sang the Bilbo Baggins song... ahh good times

At the Lone Star Regionals, they announced, "No grinding in the pits." Half the people in the pits started dancing after that.

Well I have always wanted to make the guy say "Team 589 needs a power cable capable of 1.21 Jigowatts"

I heard wrong one time where I thought he said:
"Team XXX needs a cuban metal pipe"
When it really was:
"Team XXX needs a cube metal pipe"

I have also heard:
"ahhhh , nevermind"

At Toronto I heard this:

"Team 4 needs a robot"

Later on.... "Team 4 would like a Chassis and/or Drivetrane"




For those of you who haven't heard already, Team 4's robot didn't make it to the Toronto regional on thursday so they built an entirely new robot in 6 hours!

On Thursday at Toronto, team 229 had the Pit Announcer (1511's own Ashley Cheney at the time) announce that "Team 229 is in need of a Flux Capacitor."

On Saturday we had the new announcer say that, "Team 229 is in need of some DI-lithium crystals in order to run the Flux Capacitor that was graciously donated by team 121."

when I was at Philly The announcer said " there will be no grinding in the pits" he turned and some kids start dancing and and got back on the speaker and added "of any sort" ( i dont know maby its not that funny, you probably had tt be there)

At the GTR one of the strangest request I heard was " Team XXXX needs a blow dryer" but, it turns out that the robot got water damage and they need to try all the electrical parts. The control board got fried when they turn the robot on the first time though.
