Sorry, Don. The moving finger writes; and, having writ, moves on: nor all your piety nor wit shall lure it back to cancel half a line, nor all your tears wash out a word of it. In other words, you are a marked shooter.

Don't forget about 1501
1501 and 1024 both have pictures on CD-Media (just search tags).

Re: Pure Shooters -- 2006 Hall of Fame

I really loved the grasshoppers, Team 95. We chose them to be one of our alliance partners in Palmetto, and they can really pack a punch!

Can you say last-second semifinal win? Sometimes they can hit two or three at the exact same time!!! Their shooter is just amazing. Thanks for being such a great alliance partner Grasshoppers! We're really sorry you couldn't make it to Atlanta.

Re: Pure Shooters -- 2006 Hall of Fame

Thanks to team 175 for mentioning our team's robot, "Sergeant York," among those recognized here in the "2006 Hall of Fame". We didn't have our camera-guided autonomous shooting working until nearly all of the qualifying rounds were over, but it worked great in the elimination rounds to help our alliance with 133 and 1276 proceed through the finals without a loss. We didn't attend a subsequent regional to see if we could better our #7 seeding from the Granite State Regional in Week 1, but we're looking forward to competing with the best of the best on Newton in Atlanta!

A few photos of Sergeant York are posted on CD-Media.

Thanks for making FIRST such a great experience for me. I'm no longer on 1351, and I'm not currently planning to mentor team 97, but FIRST has meant so much in getting me to where I am now, in life and at MIT, class of 2011.

103 extremely fast and good shooter( handles like an remote controled toy car)

365(gets on platform and scores about 60-80 points at one time, and human players can actually get a ball into it's hopper all the way across the field)

Re: Pure Shooters -- 2006 Hall of Fame

25 caused us big problems in trenton...

Though if you let 365 on the ramp below the goal you lose =)... unless, perhaps, you're 25...

25 had a great turret, but 365 got up on the ramp, sat literally against the glass and shot something like 20 balls in with perfect accuracy, while being pretty much unblockable.

So I don't know about the "let loose for five seconds" part, but they certainly have the capability to put up big numbers.

Hey I know that they have already been said many times but i definately have to give think pink a heads up. They are and excellent team and they have an awesome shooter.

Just wondering can anyone else make goals constantly past half court.

How about full court?

MOE (365) was the only team penalized this year for their human player scoring a ball in the center goal. Our human player was throwing the balls full court into our hopper, and one accidentally ricochetted off our robot and into the goal.

Next year the GDC should consider bonus points for human players who can make "bank" shots off the robot!

w00t! for our human player, Pat Noelke!

I remember calling that at the competition. Once I announced the penalty I got such weird looks from the scorers table...then Sunny explained how the penalty was acrued...still a one in a million shot.

You want to talk about a one in a million shot you should have been at BMR.
During the quarter finals, while our team was in the queue, an errant shot came from the field, over the wall, and landed in our hopper. It was nothing but net It went straight into the chute.
