cheap and unramable. with autonomous isnt the highbot too much of an advantage? 40 points guaranteed, the lowbot can get 10, midbot possibly like 15-20. but with 40 in auto, even if it is taken out of the game by a pusher for the rest of the game it wins. hmmm, sounds familiar....

It's only pwnage if you have an opponent.

One bug I noted: I just gave the lowbot the command of d. It alternates quickly between shooting and sucking, then goes to shoot and stays that way once you reach human control.

that because, and i believe this is in the directions, d works just like the toggle dump/suck key q or u. when you end the autonomous without a number, it will execute that command once per frame till the end of autonomous. so 12 times a second you are toggling between dump and suck. this can be fixed by adding a 1 after the d. so if you end your code with d1, it will toggle once to go to shoot, then wait till the end of autonomous. or you can get more complex and type somthing alnong the lines of d1p9p9p9p9d1 and after dumping everything (keeping in mind the lowbot dumps twice as fast as the midbot)* you will begin sucking again so you are ready to go once autonomous is over

hope that helps billfred, and i would like to note that i recognized your picture, and i was at the palmetto regional a few weeks ago as well, in fact i believe i paired with you and we won that match! you were mentoring and i was secondary driver for 422, the lowbot that can push real good. nice to talk to you again!

-turkey

*note from above, i looked it up and the midbot dumps 3 balls a second, and the the lowbot dumps 6. 12 frames in a second so a full load for the lowbot would take 10/6 of a second, or 20/12 meaning p9p9p2. but also, it takes a few seconds for the ball to get out of sucking range, so give it a good p9p9p9 for the lowbot, and p9p9p9p9p9 for the midbot and i think you should be good.

Re: Online Aim High Game

Okay guys. I just talked with Andrew, and he's ready to finalize this project. The final version is at http://www.team422.com/aimhighonlinegame.htm with all the updated shareware below it. Finally, I'd like to thank Andrew for making this game. Moreover, any of you who have suggestions get them in by tomorrow at noon, cause Andrew has said he's finalizing the game then. Good luck playing, and good night!

Re: Online Aim High Game

I would like to say goodbye everyone. my spring break is about up, and im put of time to goof off and program. I have done more with this game than i originally imagined i could ever do. it still isnt perfect, i know that, but i am proud of it. but because i am leaving tomorrow, i will need any bug reports/suggestions before 3ish friday. this includes final pleas for the score on the mat, and anything you find wrong with the program.

If you visit the team 422 site, www.team422.com/aimhighonlinegame.html you will find that we have compiled for your pleasure, downloadable versions of the game. there is one for macs, and one for windows. there is also one folder that contains everything you need, as well as the instructions, to put the game online yourself, on your teams site.
Enjoy the game, and tell your friends. I know once i am back from spring break, my team and i are going to have a tournament. Im gonna win ;-)

i hope everyone enjoys plying the game,

Re: Online Aim High Game

hello all, back in richmond, trying to focus on my put off french project. but i do have to say somthing:

fist off, a nice autonomous is one bot with:
f9f9l4s1p3s1p3s1p3s1p3s1p3s1p3s1p3s1p3s1p3s1p3r4b9 b9
the other with:
p9p9p9p9p9p9f9f9r4s

hehehehe. i like that one

and also, im gonna try to make a tournament version of the game, whre you start byu lining up 2,4,8,or 16 players who are automoatically put in brackets, and its played off like a regional except with an extra tier. dont count on that within the next week or so though, unless it prooves easier than i though

-turkey

PS: i have made an official challenge to everyone: on a different thread i posted that i would give a dozen krispy kremers to the person can turn my game into an online multiplayer one. as in, im in virginia playing someone in wisconsin. PM me or Email me for the source code (.fla file).

Re: Online Aim High Game

I just found this game yesterday and it is very cool and addictive.

Try this for auto:

Robot 1:
f9l4f9r4f9f4l4s9s9s9

Robot 2:
f9f9f3r4s9s9s9b9b9b9b9b9b9

My highest score so far is 278.
Great job by the person who made the game.
