I was fortunate enough to meet Prof. D'Andrea a while ago, and he showed this clip to us... I was amazed! One of the biggest questions he must get is "And the use for this is...?"
Sometimes it's cool to build something just to see if and how it can be done- I think this is one of those things.
And who knows, even the most abstract inventions are useful.
I'm sure that some time a while ago, someone must have said "so? Who needs a two-wheeled platform that and stand upright on its own?"
