**FIRST EMAIL**/Championship Updates - Load In and Load Out and Finale Ticket Inform

Out to CMP FRC teams....

Greetings Championship Teams:

Please read the following important information:

Load In Information

Wednesday, April 26th 6:00-9:00 pm - Registration and Uncrating Robots

In addition to Thursday morning, teams will be able to load in, uncrate, and register this year during the above time frame. Please note there is no loading dock entry to the building at any point.

Click here for a copy of the load in map: http://www.usfirst.org/robotics/2006...LoadIn_Map.pdf
Each team may send three (3) representatives to uncrate its robot. Please note this means three (3) total representatives - not three members plus a team leader. Names and teams numbers will be checked at the door and three (3) members, one of whom must be an adult, will be allowed in for each team. This check in at the door will be by Division - see note on Divisions under last bullet below.

Load in will be from curb side through the lobby on the Northside Drive side of Building C. There will be event staff available to guide you from this point. IMPORTANT: There is no loading dock access.

Please make sure you uncrate your robot and additional items as soon as you get to your pit station. As soon as you have uncrated, go to the Shepard Exposition Services (SES) Booth to let your division representative know that your crate is empty and ready for removal. You will receive a color-coded sticker for your crate. SES is tasked with moving all crates off site within a 1 1/2 hour time frame since there is no on-site storage. Your assistance in a smooth removal of the crates will be most appreciated.

The Wednesday pit opening is designed for uncrating robots, confirming ship weight, and charging your batteries. Please do not work on your robots or assemble pit booth displays on Wednesday! Please note, if your team is sponsoring an FLL team or an FVC team, this is not the time for them to set up. Wednesday pit opening is for FRC teams only.

If you are planning to keep your crate, it must fit in your pit station. Please remember, each team has a 10x10 area into which all team related items must fit - including your team! (The 10' dimension is the centerline of 2" pipe so the inside dimension is approximately 9'10".)

Registration - Once you have unloaded your crate you may send one adult representative to Pit Admin to register your team. Please let your team know if you are going to register early so other team leaders do not come to register the team on Thursday morning.

IMPORTANT: Registration is by DIVISION - please make sure you know your team's Division prior to coming on site. There will be signage at the Pit Admin table to guide you to the right line. Team Division information is available on our website at http://www.usfirst.org/frc/map/index...list&event=CMP .

If your team does not register Wednesday night, your adult representative may do so on Thursday morning; however, if you get registered on Wednesday you can hit the ground running Thursday am!

Load Out Information

Please remember that in order to help us manage and maintain safe events, you must follow the rule that teams cannot take the robot home from any event, including the Championship. You can find this stated in 6.10.2 in the Robot Transportation section of the Manual and on The Essential Info For Teams sheet on the website, http://www.usfirst.org/robotics/2006/chevents.htm, which also reiterates, Robots/Crates: You must ship your robot and any additional crate home. For safety reasons, you cannot take it from the event.

Please also remember you will get your return FedEx airbill to ship back home in your registration packet. Do not lose this airbill as it cannot be replaced!

Finale Tickets - THS Confirmation Letter

Teams that booked hotel rooms through THS MUST have their confirmation letter with them in order to pick up their Finale Tickets. Please don't forget this document!

We look forward to seeing you all next week!

Go Championship Teams!

Does this mean there will be a railing around each pit?

Probably not. The 2" pipe may be the team number sign post.

I believe in intuition and inspiration. Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited, whereas imagination embraces the entire world, stimulating progress, giving birth to evolution. It is, strictly speaking, a real factor in scientific research.

It is proabably the barrier between the pits, as seen with the red curtain in this pic:
