In my photo archives, I have found a very few Poofs with the purple side up, however, it is not clear if they are still in motion or not. I also noticed plenty of balls with the purple side to the side too.

Yes, after one of my teammates told me about this post i looked on the Newton field during a finals match, every ball landed blue down (they only used blue and red balls). After wittnessing this i went back to the pit to find that the blue and purple sides of the poof balls have the little nubs on them and the weight of them/friction must make the balls stop rolling on these sides.
