Re: What teams would you really like to meet at a FIRST event?

At St. Louis there was an awesome rookie team called the Kuhnigits(huge spelling mistake) and they used Monty Python for there theme. They had the whole cast including King Arthur, Patsy, Tim the enchanter, and several other people dressed up. I think their whole team dressed up as characters. They handed out coconuts to every team with a rabbit with blood around its mouth in it it was pretty sweet. They also had mini holy grails. On their robot they had a big stuffed animal rabbit. I just felt bad for Patsy because every time i saw him he was behind king arthur galloping and clapping coconuts. I completely forgot their # though.

Re: What teams would you really like to meet at a FIRST event?

I want to try to meet all the rookie teams that I can, if they can create something that can make it to The Championships in their first year, they've got something special about 'em. Along with that would be 254, 191, 190, 173, 56, 204, 179, 1712 many many more, I just can't think of them all!

Re: What teams would you really like to meet at a FIRST event?

I always want to meet everyone... But as Ed said I'd like to meet our sister team out in Wilsonville, Oregon 1425. I've spoken with some of them and emailed them in the past 2 years but this year at Championships will be their first trip out.

Hope to get a Team photo with the rest of the family!

Re: What teams would you really like to meet at a FIRST event?

I'm Surprised that no one has mentioned my team 379 the robocats. It seems that our team can't be a well know team. A week after a regional people forget who we are. Not sure if it's because we don't have a corporate sponsor anymore(GM). The important thing is that our community and other communities know who we are. But I'd like to meet the teams from the western part of the US. We are from Ohio and basically stay within the surrounding areas here to know everyone. We are very familiar with the Michigan teams, PA teams, Ohio, Canadian, NY, NJ teams. I have met a lot of teams in my 6 year history of FIRST. But I'd like to meet each and every one of them.

Re: What teams would you really like to meet at a FIRST event?

I really want to meet Ellery from team #191, the X-CATS......

He was kind enough to ship some of our stuff from team 1511 in his trailer that we really need (like our batteries), so I surely hope to meet him in Atlanta!

ROFL

Otherwise, hoping to meet & greet all rookie teams at the ARMAG (Friday at 11:30 on the mall) and anyone else. I'll be the old guy in the red camo tux jacket trying to keep up with Woodie! Also hoping to meet & photo the other team (#386) from Harris Corp. in Melbourne, FL.

Re: What teams would you really like to meet at a FIRST event?

Well, for starters, the finals teams from Pitt-
1629,
1370,
395,
1038,
1743,
and all the other teams at the Pittsburgh regional...too many to remember and list, but they were all pretty cool.
...all the other teams from other cultures (that would be anywhere other than Morristown, IN ) /parts of the world...
...I need to get out more...

i would like to meet

team numbers=x where 0<x<whatever the highest numbered team is+1

especially the international teams, cuz that'd be cool

Re: What teams would you really like to meet at a FIRST event?

At Nationals Team 379 Met and got to know teams 1902 "Exploding Bacon" and 201 the "FEDS". Team 201 was staying at our hotel and we felt bad that they were walking and catching the MARTA so we invited them to ride with us for a few days to the competition and even asked them to join us that night but they had stuff planned. Team 1902 was staying next to us at our hotel and we brought them back from the competition and went to the mall and had dinner with them. They even invited us to com to the Florida regional next year and they would show us around town and stuff. Also we had the opportunity to meet team 753 as we saved their Championship competition by lending them a tread. They cam all the way from Oregon to compete and they snapped one of their treads. Us being one of the few teams that were using treads had one that would fit their robot. After s few adjustments they got it to work with our help. They even came over and asked for some buttons to put on their robot because they wanted us to be a part of their team and robot. Because we helped save them they made it to the Semi-finals on our tread. Our team feels that we accomplished something good this year at Nationals. We even made some new friends.
