Re: pic: 195 feeds balls to Team 968

That alliance was absolutely brilliant, even if Archimedes did manage to top them. The "A-Bomb" as it has been dubbed was one of the most exciting plays all year. Not to mention 25 helping 968 get back up after they (almost) tipped off the ramp during the Newton finals, the adaptability of their autonomous strategies, their fluid transitions from offense to defense and back, etc.
If 195's drive train isn't running at reduced capacity during the Einstein finals, these guys are wearing gold medals. Only if 968 wasn't a west coast team, and the other 2 east coasters, then we might see them reunited at an off-season (IRI get-together? ). Although with how amazingly they performed, I doubt anyone would let them select eachother again.

Seeing that on the Einstein field, I can honestly say that was one of the most epic plays ever seen in a FIRST championship. My hat goes off to that alliance for their brilliant alliance selection.

By the way, what was 968's drive system? It looked similar to the poofs, but I only saw it from the stands.

They basically have the same robot.

Our team had talked about that strategy for ages because it would be funny and if it works well enough, ingenious. I hope everyone enjoyed the show.

That is a strategy I had in my head, but knew was not worth the risk in our case of trying to pull it off. It takes extreme strategy planning and execution to pull it off, I was not expecting to see it done on the field. Stunning.

We would also like to thank team 25 for an awsome alliance as well. Seeing this move being pulled off from the sidelines was just plain cool. Also seeing peoples faces when it was done was flat out funny... I know that no one on our team knew that the "A-Bomb" was even possible. Our advisor's face was in awe the entire time. that was an awsome match.
