Re: RampCamper Hall of Fame

Don't you dare to forget 222 that is going to ATL. on the list. They are the only robot that stands out in my mind about it. They designed the robot in thee only way to score was take that ramp. it is pure genius!

The bot that really stands out and you don't want to let them get to the ramp at all, not even AUTO mode was 703! if they had more then 10 balls, it was time for your side to go score at least double the amount which was very hard. to bad they didn't make the list for champs, they would have been dangerous!

Alex you heart my feelings. You dont mention our own team 229. With a new and improved game there is no moving us and we can sure sinkem on the ramp.

Re: RampCamper Hall of Fame

Thank you to everyone who mentioned our robot in this thread. This is exactly what we were going for coming out of our brainstorming session,

but

when I saw the 254/968 robots play my jaw hit the floor. They made the perfect ramp camper/mass scoring robot and they could hit from the field! Great job!

Re: RampCamper Hall of Fame

Teams 254 and 968's robot design was completely amazing from on top of the ramp, the combination of speed and torque to get up on to the ramp so fast and drop all their balls before anyone could even react was unbelievable.

Re: RampCamper Hall of Fame

Team 217 wasn't a ramp camper persey but I just wanted to give them credit because in the final match on Einstein team 25 put them on the ramp to keep them from scoring and they just positioned there turret enough to put at least 7 balls in which won them the match. I personally didn't think they were able to shoot on the ramp but they proved me wrong.

The ThunderChickens actually kept that ability a secret from us, too, until it happened. It was a pleasant surprise!

Re: RampCamper Hall of Fame

ummm....my team mates are gonna kill meh for saying this but I would have to say MOE. I think they did spectacular and the fact that their bed could keep like 20 + balls meant that if they wern't touched or messed with they could atleast get bout 18 balls in . That meant an easy 54 points (if my mental math is not wrong) and if they had some sort of sbar like 1625 did they would have been MOE sucessful! lol

Re: RampCamper Hall of Fame

After watching the competition in atlanta I must make a vote for the Ter-MOE-Nator. That was the best ramp shooter next to 703 I have ever seen. They were unbelivble when on the ramp. I also want to say that the 111 was excellent on the ramp. They were my secret team that I was talking about. Sorry Stang I just couldn't keep your secret hidden.

Re: RampCamper Hall of Fame

703 was my favorite. They were fast and swift. They did have some trouble with their auto-mode, but I was still impressed.

Re: RampCamper Hall of Fame

I did witness some robots that were able to shot from the ramp and from the ground too. It was a good strategy though, and helps a lot of teams get a lot of points without any difficulty.

Re: RampCamper Hall of Fame

I would say 968 they could get up on the ramp and shoot into the 3pt goal. And they also could shoot from the middle of the field and their accuracy was very good. Also 703 they could get up on and off the ramp with ease and score in the 3pt goal. Along with if they could not get up the ramp they still could unload their balls into the 1pt goals. Last I would have to say 1114 they mainly shoot off the ramp yet they could get on the ramp and score as well. (We saw this when we paired up with them in the curie division)
