Re: You know you've overdosed on FIRST when...

You know you've overdosed on FIRST when....

-You save every scrap of Scouting paper so you can ceremoniously burn them in a post-season bonfire (Friday night by the way ).
-Your suitcase is 3.5 lbs overweight because of your wet clothes you wore in the Olympic Fountain the night before.
-You bring a pedometer with you so you can measure the distance you travel betweent the field and pits.
-You're so absorbed in the comptetion you realize the last day you go a mile out of your way to get food when there are restaurants near the pits (I had no idea Foodworld in GWCC existed until Friday afternoon and I've been to Atl. twice already!).
-Three days after the competition, your bag is still lit up from all the glowsticks you snagged from Team So and So.
-You have to double check and make sure you don't have any pins in your carry on bag so that you don't get forcefully ejected from the airport.
-You have battle scars on your fingers from ringing cowbells for each and every one of your team's matches.
-You go insane trying to catch the ripped Poof balls the refs are throwing into the stands.
-You come to the realization that FIRST has been the best thing in your life for the past four years and you have no idea what your going to do without it.

Re: You know you've overdosed on FIRST when...

When you reply 3 thou in front of the class when the teacher asks you a math problem..
WHen you constantly look for Multimeter's whenever you hear the words "Low Battery"
When you go to school with electrical tape and when people ask why you say, "Because I'm Prepared"..
When you see somethingthing flashing green blue and red your attention is diverted..
When you stop when you se a locker numbered 118 you gaze at those beatiful numbers..
When the teacher asks you to get prepared for class, you pull out notebook paper and take a visual inventory of items you need next year for FIRST. (almost 2 D-Halls lol. But my teachers love me)

Just some I came up with..

Re: You know you've overdosed on FIRST when...

-you were actually hoping (and believed) they would change the game to the flashing colored lights
-when the game didn't really change you didn't stop thinking about how the robot would work
-when the announcer was introducing teams with his feet while doing a head stand you couldn't stop thinking when the real Dave was going to show up

when you eventually start talking in C language, even during your AP Exam week.
when your social life is nothing but hanging aruond with your robot and team members in empty school hallways
when you think your robot comes before your prom date.

a lot of these would make great:
- buttons
- posters for the shop or garage or closet wall
and tee shirts
- humorous letterhead for thank yous
- great give-aways with your information on the back and your button attached

1 When you find yourself watching a hockey game with a group of friends

2 You know you're addicted when while you are watching the hockey game you think for a split second that the big number on their jersey is their team number.

When you finally realize that "Cold Pizza" is actually a tv show on a channel you've never watched (ESPN2) and you spend 15 minutes trying to figure out which of the 4 remotes will get me there (including the one given to me by my brother-in-law that consolidates all the remotes) but none of them work, before giving up and am surprised at how disappointed I am.
