Re: Congratulations to Wildstang, Team #111 !

Congratulations to the whole crew over on 111 from both Team 237, and all of us NERDs..
I know that you are definitely more recognized by everyone in FIRST (even more than before) because one of our kids was wearing a 111 shirt and was congratulated even in the airport numerous times on Sunday by teams we never even met before..

We thought it was funny cause he wasn't on 111, and he had to explain that every single time as well, but it just goes to show you how many people regard this as the highest award.

(Note to self, if you want to be more social on Sunday and have a bunch of people talk to you, wear a shirt from the team who wins the Chairman's award the night before! lol) Wish I wore mine as well...

Congratulations to all on 111, and try not to party to hard - or no harder than you already have at least..

How was the police escort back into town?
I'm sure that turned some heads back home as well.

Re: Congratulations to Wildstang, Team #111 !

I would like to say one phrase about WildStang that I thought up once.
It is a poem if you will:
The Sultans of Schaumburg,
The Titans of Tye-Dye
The Wizards of Wheeling
The Rockstars of Rolling Meadows
The Masters of Motorola
The Monsters of The Midwest (Both Regional and Area)
The Inventors of Illinois
The Captains of Chicago
The JVN's of Just Soutwest Of Michigan
The Best Team To Ever Build a Ramp Bot
Those Wacky Warriors Of WildStang

I don't think the reality of this has set in yet with most of us here in Schaumburg. Thanks so much to everyone for your kind words! We really appreciate it and look forward to seeing all of you again soon.

Re: Congratulations to Wildstang, Team #111 !

In addition to Dave's thanks, I would like to add thanks to all the great people who came down and congratulated us on the field and throughout the wrap party. Literally, hundreds of team members and mentors shook our hands and said some really touching things about our team and our students. It was truly a night to remember. Thank you all.
