A 648 New Recruit... a very special one.

If you read this article... you'll know why he is a a special recruit of ours.

Bonny Jain is the 2006 National Geography Bee champ. Wow... what an accomplishment, but further yet, he will go on to compete in the Scripts National Spelling Bee next week I think. I met him when we did a presentation at the Moline HS Freshman Orientation about a month ago. He was the last of a bunch of students that signed up for more info. And he was the most interested. I told him and his parents everything I know about FIRST and the team's history and FIRST's history and GP and the foundations of FIRST and on and on. I'm excited about the potential that this kid can bring to FIRST and team 648. Bonny, as an eighth grader, scored a 2310 of a possible 2400 on the SAT! I didn't even take the SAT as a high schooler.

I just figured you all would like to know about one of our new recruits.
