Or along with the cermonial ball each team would have like a 1 foot bar on their robot which has a 25 sq foot (5X5) of lexasn to keep their bot not wet and saran wrap around the Control systems???

What would be cool would be if the golden ball(s) arrived at the destination(s) and then opened like a lotus flower to reveal a clue(s)
for the next year's game - or the next big goal for FIRST.

That would be pretty cool. It would almost be like the egg in Harry Potter that revealed the clue for the next challenge.
