Ever wonder what HOT did with the yellow Hummer?
Since the only thing our highschools drivers ed program had were old worn out GrandAm's, we decided to make a small donation :
Not only do they learn how to drive on the streets, but the students are also shown how to proberly navigate the backwood trails as well! (This is a joke, incase you couldn't pick up the sarcasm...) |

Yeah, I think that beats the Malibu that Irmo had when I took the course.
(I didn't know that they made manual windows for the last-gen Malibu until I started driving in it. Then again, we weren't concerned with electronic doo-dads; we were there to learn how to drive!)Actually, it would be rather awesome to have students learn to drive an SUV as well. Making them fully aware that an H2 does not handle the same way as a Chevy Aveo would qualify as a Good Thing in my book. |

I know this sounds silly but
it's neat to see a 'team' car with snow on it. I'm originally from Missouri and snow is not something we see here in Austin too much. I'd love to see one really great snowball fight though they are pretty good at lobbing water balloons. |

I learned to drive with a Cavalier. It was the perfect car for it too, and I would have hated to try to take that H2 to some of the parking lots I went to. |

I would think it would be easier because if you were to hit anything... it wouldn't be the hummer that gets damaged. I had the privilage of seeing this thing in Atlanta in 2005 and it was a beast. |

I've sat in the driver's seat of an H2 and I can honestly say, I don't think I'd want to drive one. Am I pretty big guy, but I think they are just way too big and visibility is poor in some areas. At least starting out, I imagine it would be a chor to drive one.

It had only driven the 7 miles from GM to the school the day of this picture. You don't get cars all that dirty on that stretch of road anyway. Actually, our driver's ed program now has some new cars. They've got a Chevy Equinox or two and a few new model cars as well, though I can't remember the model. The district gets them on donation from a local dealership. |
