Re: What to do with buttons

I made a desktop Christmas tree using some old wire hangers and buttons. It is sitting in my basement somewhere, It was really easy to do and looks cool. Create the frame using wire hangers, then pin the buttons on the frame, if the frame bends (mine did a bit) throw bandanas around it and pin the buttons on the bandana.

You can also pin them to the back of your car seat, my teammate Mark decided to do that to my car on a recent roadtrip. I don't reccomend sitting anyone behind that seat though (it could be dangerous in a crash)

Re: What to do with buttons

Like Jeff, I have too many buttons, so now I only collect from teams that I'm good friends with, or have a design that I think is particularly spiffy. They hang on my staff lanyards.

Re: What to do with buttons

i love making collages and scrapbooks so last year, i took a big bag of my buttons, took the metal backings out and made a scrapbook out of them, its preettyy darn dandy.

this year i have yet to deside to do with my buttons, i like the throw pillow idea someone came up with earlier.

Re: What to do with buttons

One I thought of today would be to make a window valance and cover it with the buttons. It would have to be sturdy but a springrod would probably hold it. I think a button covered valance would be cool or even go across in a line along the hem. Be cool on a dust ruffle too.
