I'll probably end up making a test site on a different domain, do the upgrade and let some people test it out. I've been careful to make things as contained as possible so that there aren't many changes to the vBulletin code, so hopefully things just magically 'work'.

There are significant changes between 3.0.x and 3.6.x, but not as drastic as 2.x -> 3.0 (i hope). I'm probably going to wait till 3.6 is out of beta, too.

Yes. It is an option now that is shut off.
