My favorite part was seeing all of these robots that I only got to see on Chief Delphi prior to the event.
I'd watch 1114, 1503 and 1680 walk by, 494 and 70 walk by, 968 and 254 walk by, 179 walk by, 25 walk by. It was just an incredible feeling.
Then meeting one of the kids from 469 who could tell you every little detail about every robot in our division. It was scary.
"Yeah, our third partner is 650"
"Oh yeah, they have 6 pneumatic wheels"
No exaggeration.

last year I wanted to electrically charge our frame, then cover the whole bot in tape and say it was for insulating purposes. Then I settled down and read the rule book. - russell [more]
