Gyro/Camera Combination Code Problems

I have combined the gyro and the camera code that will run on the 2006 FRC controller. I tried it out and everything runs perfectly except the FRC will periodically and randomly reset or disable itself. Is this just a registry overflow or is it something else. If anybody has any information on this please give me some feedback.

Is it possible this is from the silicon bugs in the PIC18F8722? Are you using new firmware/libraries?

This behavior is similar to what we see when too many interrupts are being generated. The processor ends up getting swamped.

If you can run the gyro with the camera unplugged or the camera with the gyro disabled, that could be the case.

Re: Gyro/Camera Combination Code Problems

Hmm, we got it to work fine, I don't know.

I thought there was a problem mentioned before that you must combine one into the other (it only works one way, like gyro put into camera works, but camera put into gyro doesn't). I believe if you didn't do it right it was completely unusable though, so that's probably not it.

If you're getting overflows, maybe turning down the sample rate on the gyro could help.
