Looking for Dewalt Transmission Inventor Model

Does anyone have a model of the CIM with Dewalt tranny? Or even just the transmission would be good. Thanks.

Re: Looking for Dewalt Transmission Inventor Model

I don't know about dewalt trannys, but CIMs are available with the KoP trannys from Innovation FIRST . These are detailed, but if you want materials, you will have to make your own.

Drawings/Model of DeWalt Transmission

Does anyone have CAD drawings or a solid model of the DeWalt XRP transmission? (it's the one in the "Nothing But DeWalts" whitepaper) I'm trying to do some design work, and it would really help if I could get a model of the DeWalt, and not have to make one, myself. I'm using SolidWorks 2005, but any file format you can give me would be helpful. So, if you have one, or know where I can get one, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Re: Drawings/Model of DeWalt Transmission

Let me bump this old thread to the top; I'm wondering about the same thing.

Format doesn't really matter; Pro/E 2001 Student, Inventor 7, STEP or IGES are best, but I'll take anything!

Re: Drawings/Model of DeWalt Transmission

Are y'all still wanting an Inventor of the DeWalt tranny? We used it on our robot in 2005 so I have access to one. If y'all still want one e-mail me at velociraptor1102@yahoo.com and I can probably draw you one after Christmas break is over. I did a rough one last year, but it got lost somewhere *cough cough*. Just let me know

Re: Looking for Dewalt Transmission Inventor Model

Umm... I believe that the CIM's are on the FIRST CAD library http://www.firstcadlibrary.com/ . And if y'all are still wanting the DeWalt transmission I could probably draw one for you after X-mas break. Just e-mail me at velociraptor1102@yahoo.com if you're interested. I did a rough sketch of one last year in Inventor, but I could certainly to a better one. Just let me know

Re: Drawings/Model of DeWalt Transmission

This may help

Scroll down all the way to the bottom and you have an assembly (.dfx) using the 18V DeWalt Transmission and a couple other motors/mounting system for it. The website is designed for combat style robots, but at times FIRST isn't all that far off from it.

I just received my Dewalt order and plan on posting this model on the FirstCadLibrary before kickoff (maybe sooner). I'll post when it's done.

Sorry that I haven't posted this model by now. I wanted to finish the Innovation First parts. I still plan on getting this out soon.

Re: Drawings/Model of DeWalt Transmission

I have one started .......
I'll see if I can finish it up over the next 3-4 weeks.

My plan is to model just the Dewalt parts the best I can. I have no prints of these parts so the model (especially the molded parts) may not be as accurate as I like it.

If anyone knows of some documents with dimensions, please let me know!

p.s.

Some of you already know that my son had brain surgery a few weeks ago so my timing and schedule are dependent on how things are going.

Re: Drawings/Model of DeWalt Transmission

well, if someone is in a jam and needs a model, you can download the one I made from www.team1742.com, just go to the downloads section. it's a little rough, i didn't have much time to do it in, but anyone is welcome to check it out. let me know if you need a different file type, i believe it is an inventor 10 file on the website.
