That was the simple part Al. The real story goes something like this. From day one, we knew we were going to be a low goal only team as a rookie with few resources. Thus, it was a huge priority that we needed to also get up the ramp. Also from the beginning, we had a student designed chassis that mathematically was supposed to clear the ramp, barely. We decided on the Colson wheels, and had to wait almost two weeks on delivery. When we got the Colsons and strapped them on we pushed the chassis up the ramp and promptly bottomed out in THREE places. Ouch. Two chassis redesigns later it was the END of week three and we had what you see in the picture. We had another subgroup that had a prototype hopper. Problem. The hopper was designed to attach to our wonderful first chassis that failed and was long gone. So after we all celebrated that we finally had a chassis that would go up the ramp and we were all completely exhausted from all the extra effort, a few of us realized we had no clue how to integrate our ball system. So there I sat for most of the morning at the end of week three, contemplating...
