Re: 2007 FRC Events, where are you going?

Just had a meeting with the team yesterday. Team 1345, Platinum Dragons will be at the Florida and the Boston Regional. If we qualify, we are going to rock the house at Championship 2007. Looking forward to another gracious and successful season.

Re: 2007 FRC Events, where are you going?

Team 87 will be attending the Chesapeake and Philadelphia regional this year. We were very upset to hear that we wouldn't be attending NJ regional, but due to scheduling and budgetary issues, it wasn't possible this year.

But we can't wait to see everyone at Chesapeake and Philly!!

Re: 2007 FRC Events, where are you going?

NEMO has just released its newest white paper, "Questions to Consider When Choosing Your FIRST Event(s)" which might help teams making a decision on which FLL, FVC or FRC events to attend.

The paper, which was compiled from suggestions from NEMO members, can be found in the Resources section on the NEMO website at www.firstnemo.org and as a white paper in the CD-media section at http://www.chiefdelphi.com/media/papers/1872

Re: 2007 FRC Events, where are you going?

1103 will be at Milwaukee, and possibly Chicago. Millwaukee is only about a hour drive, and Chicago is only 2-2.5 hours so if we have the money we'll go there too.

1712 will be attending Philly for sure, and we still have to decide if we want to go to a 2nd regional or try and qualify for The championship, we only have the money for one of the two currently, but I want to try and raise enough money to go to 3 events total, roughly $25,000 bucks. any ideas?

Ask everyone you know, get the whole club involved, and pray for a miracle, that's our approach right now.

We will be attending AZ week 2, and then in theory the Championship. If we don't have enough money we will attend San Diego week 4 (this is a nice time, since it's our spring break). If we're lucky and get lots of sponsorships we'll attend all 3 of them since attending San Diego will not affect our school work in any way.

I hope some of the California teams will still make the trek out to Arizona even with So Cal week 2.

Team 1516 will be attending Silicon Valley, and maybe Davis, and IF and Only IF we can find a way to qualify at a regional to go to the Championship, which is my pie in the sky goal, but our program is making huge strides in many areas so you never know...

Re: 2007 FRC Events, where are you going?

Portland again this year, as always. Its such a nice regional and the all the teams that go there are really friendly!

Our team is also looking into attending a regional within California but they are filling fast!

We are going to Silicon Valley and maybe Dvis-Sacramento regionals. We hope we win one of the two regionals so we can go to the championships.
