Re: What music do you listen to and/or dance to?

I am totally into new rock, alternative, and Indy stuff. I looked through my library and I happen to listen to A LOT of Canadian new rock (I do live in Canada) but seriously if you like new rock you guys are really missing out if you haven't heard about some of these bands: (harder stuff) Billy Talent, Sum 41, Alexisonfire, Rise Against (think they are from Chicago, but are big in Canada), The Salads, (more alternative stuff) Our Lady Peace!, City and Colour!, Arcade Fire, Marianas Trench, Metric!, Sam Roberts, The Trews, Sloan, Mobile. Then there is also awesome (non Canadian Acts); Artic Monkeys, Chili Peppers!, Foo Fighters!, Lost Prophets, Keane, Snow Patrol, Gnarls Barkley, AFI, The Strokes, and Death Cab for Cutie. I could go on but I wont

Progressive and classic rock are my favorites.

Re: What music do you listen to and/or dance to?

What I listen to ranges with my mood. And because of my ADHD, that can range quite a bit. So here goes:

For the high energy times:
-Metallica
-Tool
-System of a Down (on hiatus!!! ::cries:
-Sum 41
-POD

For the times when I'm in a violent mood (like when I'm at my martial arts school training):
-Disturbed
-Some Limp Bizkit (some of it's good... other bits bug me)
-AFI
-Anti-Flag
-Megadeath
-Brujeria (look em up if you like seriously heavy stuff that still has a melody)
-Dragonforce

For the times when I'm thinking/working with my brain:
-Radiohead
-Muse
-T R A N C E [] C O N T R O L (good background music)
-The Mars Volta
-Helix6

For the times when I'm down/sad/less energetic:
-Nine Inch Nails
-The Mars Volta
-Tool
-Korn
-Eve 6
-E.S. Posthumous (would make really good movie music....)

I've probably forgot some, but this is all I can think of without ripping through my library...

[edit] I don't dance... unless I have my favorite person in my arms... she's the only one who can make me dance... Unless you count headbanging/moshing as dancing... [/edit]

Re: What music do you listen to and/or dance to?

Heavy metal, anything written by John Williams, and 8bit electronica/techno. The best band in America is either Symphony X or Dream Theater. The best band in Sweden is Hammerfall.
