Re: Lost & found CDs...again!

One that I seem to cycle through every now and again is "Legend of the Wu-Tang: Wu-Tang Clan's Greatest Hits." That compilation came out in 2004, but it highlights lots of 1990s Wu-Tang (particularly Enter The Wu-Tang: 36 Chambers).

I was trying to think of a Wu-Tang allusion to finish this post, but I couldn't think of a clean one. Darn.

Re: Lost & found CDs...again!

Most of the CDs that I come across aren't mine. They are usually ones that I have bought for my brother or sister here and there. Most recently, Rascal Flatts "Me and My Gang." It was all scratched up. Bought it for my sister, sure does make me feel great.

But yeah, I always run across a really, really old burned version of Starcraft that never worked to begin with and I thought I had gotten rid of. Or my back-up copies of my music collection on my laptop, which just died recently so I need them back. But fortunately I know how to get my music off of my iPod and onto my computer.

Re: Lost & found CDs...again!

I was recently rummaging on the bottom shelf of my bookcase next to the bed, it's a shelf where I tend to throw things that I don't quite know what to do with just to get them out of the way... and I came across two tapes, one of which I should have destroyed for the good of humanity years ago... a karaoke tape... from the mid-90s when I ran with a crowd who loved to get up there and belt out the tunes... which was okay, because they could sing well... What was not okay is that they once managed to get me (with my friend Mark) up there to sing... and they had it recorded... The tape is embarrassing and funny and, oddly enough, kind of neat (because of Mark singing with me, and Dan, Rick and Netters cheering in the audience) and I should smash it open with a hammer and send the tape through a shredder. For the good of humanity.

Re: Lost & found CDs...again!

I let a friend "borrow" one of my Ultimate Dance Party CD's my senior year in HS, and haven't seen it since. No biggie.

But, I bought just the CD on ebay (no case, and what did I care, I had it anyways) and I started listening to it again.

Great Stuff.

The only other CD I can honestly say I have memory trips when I listen to again everytime I find it in my collection cleaning and going through stuff, is Chumbawumba's Tubthumping.

You all know the song..

"I get knocked down, but I get up again.. No you're never gonna keep me down."

Yeah, that one. Good stuff right there.
