Hey everyone, i know theres gatta be at least 1 more person who's Beta testing the new BF2. If you want to play my XFIRE name is beta0sarge. And for those who arent in the Beta, there are still a load of bugs that are being worked out. but put the money aside for it, because it's definitely a keeper.

I would be beta tesing BF 2142, but i refuse to subscribe to fileplanet just to download a buggy beta. I will just wait for a more stable public beta to come out. Though beta testing BF2 1.4b has been interesting enough, that final patch better come out soon. After awhile, post what you thought of the 2142 beta, i hope it is good!

i would love to beta test it seing as how im a total BF2 Junkie already. however fileplanet is by far the most ad-saturated site i could ever touch anything i could get from there is easyaly avalable on a multitude of P2P networks. the game does however look amazing

I signed up for it for 2 reasons, A.i wanted to play it, and B. i hate waiting 45 minutes to download the new BF2 patch (c'mon, you know you hate it too). but the games pretty good, the new TITAN mode is soooooo much fun, my teammates don't ever seem to understand the goal of the game . There are now only 4 classes, thats right, 4. each class has 2 unlock trees, assault can either go sniper or spec ops (thats right, snipers can have c4 AND claymores!!!). assault are medics, and are the only ones who can't do anything about vehicles. engineer are also anti-tank. and support is just support, but the new Mg's get more accurate, the LONGER you shoot them, no more bursts!!!! theres also an active camo, so you become 90% invisible, only problem is you have to have it equipped as a weapon to use it. but thats OK because if you run up beside a tank while cloaked, he wont see you as you decloak and plant some C4 . if you wanna know more just ask.

P.S. yeah, the bugs kinda suck, but it's fun. I just don't understand why there are a handful of people STAT PADDING!!! EA made it clear that all scores will be reset after the beta, just goes to show you that some people don't read.

Yesterday fileplanet had a limited open beta for BF 2142. So I signed up, got accepted, and waited "in line" for an hour and downloaded it for another hour. So after playing it for a few hours, I do agree that the new Titan mode is a great improvement. The game play seems to go well, and it is alot more stable then the BF2 1.4b patch that is going on right now. I can't wait for the final release. Soldier name is Radar237 for the beta and BF2.

Beta testing is so much fun.

I was one of the 1st wave of Xbox Live beta testing, something like #50 or so. We got to play the NFL Fever game and some little R/C racing game. I never found any bugs in either game but i got some free stuff and a chance to do something not many had.

I hope you're having as much fun as i had.

I would test it, but I'm boycotting EA. I bought BF2 and logged about 90 hrs into it before the 1.2 patch came out and borked my netcode. I can no longer play online due to severe lag.

wow, i never had that problem. Because I'm a subscriber i didn't have to wait an hour, more like 15 minutes. the new client came out a couple days ago, with many improvements. And for all those of you who played BF2, remember playing spec ops, and your worst fear was running at a tank with c4 and being spotted; well i have 2 words for you, cloaking - device

BF2142 looks cool but I don't think my comp can handle that. I run 1024x768 res on medium settings and it seems ok on BF2 but 2142 seems cpu demanding.

btw, a new mod for BF2 came out a while back. This is a really good mod, trust me. It's like what DC was for BF1942. It's called Point of Existence. You can check it out here:

I don't think my computer will be able to handle 2142 soon...
I run bf2 on 800x600, all graphics settings on low (except view distance), and I still get a bit of freezing and lots of general slowness.

I run it on High with a little lag (only when the commanders don't listen and move the TITANS) but when i run it in the medium setting everything is fine. The new BETA came out a few days ago, Major improvements!!

i Got 2142 on the 18th. the day it came out. I'm Loving the intense distraction it has provided me. I love active Camo running up to the bad guys mostly invisible then knifing them is super fun to me. AP mines are still my #1 nasty little pullover from BF2. Is everybody too busy playing to post about it?

i run the game at full spec with full anti-aliasing at 1280x1024 pixels @60HZ and it dosent ever drop below 25 frames
