I'm So Proud...

Hey ya'll. I just got back from the Milan Indian Summer Festival Queen Pageant. Lacey, my girlfriend and one of 648's team leaders participated in this event for the second year. Although she didn't place, I am extremely proud of her.

This year she sang "I Wanna Do It All" by Terri Clark, but last year she drove the 2005 robot as her talent. Her mission was to make more girls aware of the science and technology fields. She looked so beautiful as she did her walk across the stage as they read her list of achievements, volunteer efforts, and hobbies. Her walk was by far the longest walk of the seven contestants because it took them so long to read off her list.

She even included Albert Einstein in her on-stage question. Although she kind of messed up her answer (It's E=mc^2 not E=cm^2 but that's okay, she's dislexic like Tytus.)

This is an example of yet another way a FIRST participant promotes the involvement of young women and girls in the fields of science and technology and also introduces them into those areas.

Now to make this thread profitable, does anyone else have an example of odd or different ways a person or multiple persons has spread the word about science and technology?
