Re: 2006 NFL pick em Week 1
Thursday
Miami at Pittsburgh I don't know why everyone is so high on Culpepper. The guy is a turnover machine. He'll give the Steelers one free one, at least. Sunday Atlanta at Carolina The Panthers are a Superbowl favorite and they should figure out how to handle Vick by now. Baltimore at Tampa Bay This will be a low scoring contest. Take the home team. Buffalo at New England The Patriots will miss Branch but in reality Buffalo has no chance in this one at all. Cincinnati at Kansas City This might be the highest scoring game of the year. Edwards will have the Chiefs hyped up to take it at home and I think the Bengals are overhyped. Denver at St. Louis The Rams are no longer the greatest show on turf. New Orleans at Cleveland Haven't the citizens of New Orleans suffered enough? The Browns win with defense. N.Y. Jets at Tennessee Who in New York and Tennessee angered GOd enough to make them have to watch this train wreck? When in doubt take the home team. Philadelphia at Houston Everyone is so quick to write off the Eagles becaue TO went away. They're still way better than the Texans. Seattle at Detroit A tougher training camp does not take the place of a significant talent deficiency. The Lions get stomped. Chicago at Green Bay The last thing Farve needs to see is an opportunistic agressivve defesne that knows him wellIt'll be interesting to see who Farve throws more TD passes to, his own team or the Bears. Dallas at Jacksonville Dallas is getting alot of hype but I aint buying it yet. Jacksonville plays tough defense and Taylor is healthy for now. San Francisco at Arizona For one week Arizona will live up to the hype. Indianapolis at N.Y. Giants This'll be a fun game to watch but the Colts are good at playing tough in the regular season so they'll get out of New York with a late field goal victory. Monday Minnesota at Washington I see no good reason to take the Vikings over the Redskins. San Diego at Oakland Like Art Shell is gonna make the Raiders good again all by himself. |

Re: 2006 NFL pick em Week 1

Miami at Pittsburgh: QB not a concern for Cowher against an aging Defense. Running game and D give Pittsburgh the edge. Sunday Atlanta at Carolina: Panthers great all around. ATL not as versatile (Running and good D). Baltimore at Tampa Bay: Great Defenses. Offensive advantage - Baltimore Buffalo at New England: Buffalo's only positive - McGahee at RB. Cincinnati at Kansas City: With Palmer, great O. But Johnson could run and keep Cincinnati O off of the field. Close game. Denver at St. Louis: Denver always has a running game. Not sure what StL will have with a new head coach. New Orleans at Cleveland: Not sure what to expect from these two. N.Y. Jets at Tennessee: Flip a coin. Philadelphia at Houston: Houston still a bottom-feeder. Seattle at Detroit: No Madden Curse or post-Super Bowl depression... yet. Chicago at Green Bay: Obvious advantage for da Bears. Dallas at Jacksonville: Another Defensive match-up. Again offensive advantage wins - Dallas. San Francisco at Arizona: Offense to good to overlook. Indianapolis at N.Y. Giants: Battle of Mannings. 2 great teams, super-bowl calibur. Could go either way. Monday Minnesota at Washington: Washington with an advantage all around San Diego at Oakland: San Diego wins because of Gates and LT. Last edited by Logan Byers : 04-09-2006 at 21:06. |
