2007 FRC Regional Event Dates Announced

well here are the dates that have been announced...i expect they are faulty, so check back often!

These dates have major errors in them. Please do not use this for planning. I would bet that this is just a test of the new database. While some may be right there are a few that are just wrong. Wait a bit longer and we will have the real dates.

Okay good... I didn't exactly like seeing GLR and LA Regional the week after the Granite State Regional.

Yeah, I have no idea what that is.

Two regionals in Manchester? Is there any other city that has multiple regionals?

According to the current dates FIRST has released, and the dates that the Florida board of Education have released it looks like there will be no FCAT to regional conflations. Which is pretty exciting news.

I think thats a mistake becasue Bayou ususally refers to louisiana, and i remember hearing about a new orleans regional.

While some of the dates are right, I don't beleive any of the team capacities are correct. Chesepeake, for example, what stated in another thread to be accepting 64 teams, while this states 54. VCU had 64 teams last year, this says 54 again. GTR had 74, this says 70. Etc.

And yes, the Bayou regional is really in New Orleans, NOT New Hampshire...

FIRST practically always reserves capacity for late registering teams, NASA grant winners and the like.

Hey are the dates for the Las Vegas Regionals correct now?

The Los Angeles Regional will be held at the Los Angeles Sports Arena, not the Great Western Forum. The Los Angeles Forum does not exist. We have used both in different years so somebody is confused.

As was stated earlier, the amount of teams does not match last year. The reason is that every regional holds back a certain number of spots. These are for rookie teams or special circumstance teams. If they spots are not taken by a certain date, TBD, then they are added to the available later on. That is the reason that your team should go on a waiting list for events that you would like to attend.

On another thought, I heard that there were going to be other Super Regionals this year but only GTA is listed with 2 fields. Has anyone heard of any others?
