Deer Park Invitational 2006

You are cordially invited to participate in the 2nd Annual Deer Park Invitational on Saturday, October 21st at Deer Park High School !

The event will be similar to last year. There will be a FIRST field and official scorekeeping. Game rules are expected to be similar to the Regional in March 2006. Each team is on its honor to meet all robot specs, but an Inspector will be on site for questions or direction. Awards will be given to Invitational Winner and Invitational Finalist alliance partners.

Tentative Event Schedule:

08:00 am Registration Opens
09:00 Practice Rounds
09:30 Opening Ceremony
09:45 Qualifying Matches
12:00 pm Fun Matches
12:30 Lunch Break
1:30 Qualifying Matches
3:00 Elimination Rounds
4:30 Closing Ceremony

The cost will be $350 plus one Volunteer (adult or experienced student). However, a $50 rebate will be given to the first four teams (minimum 4 students and one adult) that volunteer to help set-up after school on Friday. An additional rebate may be given to all teams if Deer Park has a surplus after expenses are paid. All teams are expected to assist with tear-down on Saturday. Checks should be made payable to The Deer Park HS Robotics Team and sent to Chuck Burg at Deer Park High School, 30 Rockaway Avenue, Deer Park, NY 11729 by October 6th.

To register, volunteer with set-up or if you have questions, please contact Chuck at burg.c@DeerParkSchools.org.

More information will be sent to participating teams.
