[WRRF]: Cal Games is a Go at 21 teams!

Important Cal Games Announcement: It's a Go with 21 teams!

Hi folks!

We are excited to announce we have a Go for the full size event with 21 teams registered for California Robot Games 2006!

The following teams have registered and paid their entry fee, with 2 more teams waiting to register:
100, 114, 115, 192, 254, 256, 581, 604, 670, 668, 766, 840, 841, 846, 852, 1072, 1120, 1280, 1351, 1458, 1516.

Because we have enough teams, we are going ahead with the official Aim High competition just like a regional competition. Registration is opened for all teams to register since September 2nd, and we are going to keep it open until October 13th, the cut-off date to send a check to reserve a spot.

So please contact me @ wheres_kenny@hotmail.com if your team is interested in participating. Details of our event can be found at the bottom of this page: http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/sh...d.php?p=525155 (we will continue to update that page as we get closer to the event).

On a side note, the planning group is making major progress. Our primary focus is now to recruit enough volunteers for setup, clean up, and for the day of the event.

Volunteer recruitment status:
Competition volunteers: --------80%-- (40 out of 50 positions filled)
Setup/Tear down volunteers: -------70%--- (14 out of 20 work shift filled)

(For more info about volunteering for Cal Games and recruitment progress, please visit: http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/sh...d.php?p=524255)

Look forward to seeing all of you at Cal Games 2006 in October!

-Ken Leung
