Re: Team 2000? Is this the year?

It seems like just a few months ago when we discussed the teams in the 1000's.. Now, we'll have a double-millenium team, 2045. Cool.

Re: Team 2000? Is this the year?

Aww shucks, I registered my team just a bit too early to get a 2*** number.

We're #1995, Hartford Regional look out, because here we come!

Re: Team 2000? Is this the year?

2001 , now thats a number I'd love to have. You could call your team Space Odyssey or just Odyssey, that'd be awesome.

I'm surprised no one wants to be team 1992 .

On a side note 318 teams so far.

Last year we had 1103 (iirc, but it was very close to 1100). This year it's probably going to be around 1300. So far we have had 318 teams register for 2007.

The big question is: will they sign up for the Rah Cha Cha Ruckus?

Re: Team 2000? Is this the year?

It happened 2 or 3 years ago with Emery Collegiate Institute in Toronto. They started off with the Emery Iron Eagles (1219, which is still in existence today) and about a year or so later the Diamond Eagles (their exact number has escaped me, something in the 1300's) came into existence. I believe it was 2004. They split into girls and boys teams due to the sheer numbers coming out to their meetings!

Sooo... Since both teams should have equal resources, being from the same school and area... This should settle the long going dispute on who is better at this whole robot thing, girls or boys? Which team is doing better as of now?

Im pretty sure that happened in New Jersey this year as well. The team from Montclair split the same way, one team for boys, one team for girls.

It might be just another error, like 1368/2000, where 340 accidentally registered as a rookie.
