Thumbs up Dewalt XRP Drill Transmissions available - discount pricing

"Assuming" (I know ...) our motors and additional parts rules will not change substantially for 2007 this information could be very useful ...

The use of the 3-speed, shift-on-the-fly, lightweight, robust (all metal gears) Dewalt XRP Drill transmissions for drive-trains and other mechanisms has been well documented here. As the parts we require for our applications are regularly out of stock at the DeWalt service website, I thought I would pass along an email that I just received from our XRP supplier for the past two years:

Greetings,

We hope your year is going well. We have been holding DC980 drills for your program, and we would like to offer you a discount for quantity purchases made between now and the end of 2006. Our prices are below.

If you order: ................... The price is: ..................... Shipping (TOTAL):

One or two drills ............... $60.00 each ........................ $12.96

Three, four or five drills ...... $55.00 each ........................ $18.96

Six or more ...................... $50.00 each ........................ $20.96 for six, add $4.00 per drill
.................................................. .....................................for quantities over six.

Please note that the shipping costs noted above are based on the drills being shipped in a single shipment – multiple shipments will require multiple shipping payments.

If you would like to place an order, please email us at arizonaheltonsATcoxDOTnet, or call us at 480-396-6015, and reference this email.
These are great prices and we have always received exceptional service from these people - please note these drills DO NOT include batteries. However you are still saving money over buying the individual parts from Dewalt service, and you also get some very good drill chucks and motors for use elsewhere (or to $ell??) ...

You can find more information about the use of these transmissions in THIS THREAD or by searching the forums for "XRP" or "Dewalt". See my attached spreadsheet for a detailed listing of the required parts and their (2005) prices from the Dewalt service website
