Fuel efficiency or home efficiency contest

I am in search of either a fuel efficiency contest for motor vehicles or a contest for Home efficiency and low power usage. I know of the Shell Eco-Marathon and then there was a contest for the homes that i saw on discovery channel a while ago. It was annually and held in Washington dc, but I don't remember the name of it. I am also looking for other contests, I will be trying to start up a team for one here at Clarkson, to try to help promote many of these thing that should be better focused on by our country.
