Popup Menu Help (dreamweaver)

On my page I have two div layers. One of them includes a image, the other a button that brings up a menu.

When the menu comes up it goes behind the other layer.

The popup menu is on a higher layer than the image and you can see the text when it is highlighted.

Anyone know how to fix this?

Re: Popup Menu Help (dreamweaver)

My guess (without looking at the site) would be that you used absolute positioning, and that the div your menu is hidden behind is also absolutely positioned. If that's the case, I think the issue is in IE's rendering of the page, and it should load right in a few other browsers, but I would still try to fix it. I'm not sure if that's right, but I remember reviewing a site with that problem and it worked in one and not the other. Try to see if there's a way you can either use a z-index or get rid of the absolute positions.

Re: Popup Menu Help (dreamweaver)

Yes I did use absolute postioning, the weird thing is you can see the text but not the box.

And I have tried it of 3 differn't browsers and 2 differn't operating sysems and it does it on all of them.

Re: Popup Menu Help (dreamweaver)

If you post or PM a link to the site I'll see if I get a chance to take a look at it this week. It's a busy week for me, but I can try to take a peak sometime.
