[OCCRA]:Urethane Rough-Top

HI, I'm from team 1286 and we have a question if something is legal, maybe classified under the Grip rule.

Urethane Rough-Top
Blue 3-ply
5994K 851 $2.82 [by ft] 3" belt width

"Rough Top belting has a deeply textured cover that grips and holds packages and cartons. Grip on inclines to 35 degrees except where noted. Urethane hard texture surface is abrasion, rip, and puncture resistant."

This is available locally AND
McMaster-Carr
Supply Company
Cleveland, Ohio
[where we got the above info from]

Pg. 813
Cat. 105

Thanks For your time ^_^

Answer: I have sent this to committee and am waiting for all to respond. I will post answer here ASAP! At this point using it would be at your risk and you may have to remove it as an illegal material since it is not specifically on the additional materials list. Rubbermaid Grip material is a different product with different uses.

I hope to have an official answer very soon.

Official Answer:
This material is not specific to the additional materials list. We are not allowing any NEW materials after the build phase (6 weeks) has been completed. If you want the material for next year please have a coach suggest it in the end of the season review.

You cannot use this material.
