Michigan Teams attending regionals from March 15-17

This interests all teams from the state of Michigan who are attending a regional during March 15-17.

As you may know, Juniors in the state of Michigan are being required to take the ACT test, as well as other state issued tests, to determind proficiency among schools, blah blah blah. Basically, replacing the MEAP test. However, I was informed today that the ACT portion will be administered March 13th, which should not affect most, if any, teams. However, the 14th and 15th have been designated as days where the state will continue the testing with their own tests. The 14th will probably affect those traveling to regionals and taying in hotels. The 15th will affect anyone who has to attend the practice day.

I'm curious as to how other teams will be handeling this, if they have been informed about it yet. As far as I know, the state will be designating a make up day 2 weeks later, however, this day may still interfer with teams in the state.

As for our team, we most likely will just see how it goes, but our team members who are Juniors make up 1/3 of the team, thus making it a pretty big deal. As of now we plan on attending a regional the week of the 15-17 AND the 29-31. The 29-31 falls in the 2 week make up window which may cause issues. But as I said, we're just gonna have to go along with the ride and see what happens.

Please discuss how your team will be affected, if it will change your plans, if so...how. I'm just curious as to how others will handle it.

Thanks.
