Re: A Person Wants to join a FRC team

Here is a list of teams form Michigan. http://www.usfirst.org/frc/map/index...st&area=MI-USA

You should be able to contact teams directly if you find one nearby.

Re: A Person Wants to join a FRC team

What I did last year when I wanted to join a team was to contact them directly. Get an email address from their website, the school website, or a FIRST representative. There are many teams that don't post or read chiefdelphi (especially this time of year), so you are drastically reducing the set of potential teams by only posting here.

In my email, I essentially said "Hi, I want to help your robotics team. Can I?"

Thats what I did. They were more than happy let me join (especially since I could program) .

Re: A Person Wants to join a FRC team

Kenowa Hills is in an "empty" corner of GR area as far as FIRST goes. Your nearest established team is the RoboDAWGS at Grandville, although they actually work with Byron Center and I think their workspace is on the south end.

Team 1500 at Hudsonville would have been a good option. They were not affiliated with any particular school. Unfortunately, that team will not be back this year and maybe never.

Other options include the new team at West Catholic and a possible new team at Freedom Baptist in Hudsonville. I'll PM you with some contact information when I get another break at work.

If you could send me some stuff that would be great because we I have already talked to Mrs. Hoppe and she said team 288 could not accomodate him. And zeeland is far away so any thing on the new freedom baptist team in hudsonville team would be great or the west catholic team thank you for replying too.

Re: A Person Wants to join a FRC team

Grand Rapids Creston has a team (904) as does Northview (1227). I don't think Union does, which would be closer.

I sent you a Private Message yesterday with a contact for the Creston team. He's also involved with the regional committee and has contact with the other teams.
