Congratulations to A Very Familiar Fellow

I was idly looking through my latest Mechanical Engineering magazine just now. In the back they announced the ASME Fellows for 2006. These are people who have made outstanding contributions to Mechanical Engineering and have been selected by the Board of Directors for ASME.

One of the 69 honorees should be very familiar to all FIRSTers. This is a well deserved honor for somebody whose work will be affecting young lives for generations to come.

Dr Woodie Flowers

There is a fairly long curiculum vitea that includes his FIRST activities among many other things. But the magzine is copyrighted so I won't post it here.

So in the off chance that Woodie is lurking here, Congratulations!
