Hey out there,
I notices something on another thread on Team 488 (Xbot's) Holonomic drive that piqued my interest. Dave Lavery was commenting on the drive and asked if it could climb stairs. So maybe this year we'll be playing around with stairs.

There's my conspiracy theory for the day.

I have a feeling, that this is going to be a pointless thread around the end of december.
Dont get me wrong, i love people throwing out ideas and getting their imagination flowing, thats what i LOVE to do. Makes me think of off the wall things and things that i dont need to be thinking about.
But i bet 10/1 that there is only 1 thing in this picture that has to do with the game. And all oif these theorys about a conspiracy with the water and the rings and every other thing. the thing that this picture was meant to do, was to keep peoples minds going on FIRST thru the off season. And it worked. good job dave

4 things in the greatly enhance picture

1. The blue moat (a barrier to stop the robot)
2. The fish ( objects you have to fish out on the other side of barrier )
3. Eye ball (sensor on the robot to see the fish )
4. YELLOW Banana Like this year green light (one YELLOW is brighter
indicating whose turn)

I am fairly confident that the robot will be involved atleast to some extent.

I would start with
1.) Robot
2.) Carpet
3.) field lines

I prefer this hint over last year's (tangling with pasta, yada yada yada...) b/c the hints are there (see quote), we just have to find them... not like last year where we actually had to come up with them- and yes, I'm lazy at solving riddles (probably because when I get nowhere with them, I get frustrated and give up)... CURSE DAVE AND HIS TRICKERY!!!

If we're getting this much speculation over this picture, I can't wait to see how long this year's game hint thread will be.

a. a boatload of humor
b. a rules manual that can not be watered down
c. non-slip strategies
d. a whale of a good time building a robust robot
