Im pretty sure that somepart of the robot has to be touching the wall, not necessarily a whole side because we would usually have only a corner touching and they never said anything.

See SG1 here, where "touching" means just that, and I find nothing to indicate which kind of charger may or may not be used for the official VEX battery. [EDIT]Only the offical VEX charger may be used, see below [/EDIT]Don
