Women in Technology (WIT) Partners with FIRST
WIT Announces Partnership with FIRST - "Women in Technology (WIT), the leading association committed to the development of Georgia's businesswomen in the technology industry, today announced a partnership with FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology), a not-for-profit educational organization founded to inspire young people’s interest in science and technology. As part of the agreement, the WIT will provide financial contributions through its philanthropic arm, the WIT Foundation and provide volunteers and mentors when possible to guide the teams and work at the Peachtree Regional, one of many annual FIRST Robotics Competition events." - more

Hurray! Congratulations! This is the kind of partnerships I want to see more of! There just isn't enough support for girls/women in FIRST. Though we all know the examples of all-girl teams and that girls can work just as hard (if not harder) than the boys, it is great to see an organization reaching out to the girls.
