ABC hasn't ordered any new episodes in years.
What happened was Whos Line was a major show on the ABC network for some time. Back when it was big the Writers Guild was threatening to go on strike, thus meaning no new shows for the Fall line up, and Nielson raitings. Since Whos Line didn't have writers, they ordered a but load of episodes. These episodes were enough to cary the channel through the fall season every night of the week. Well, turns out that the Writers Guild didn't strike, leaving ABC with a ton of in-the-can episodes that never were shown, even after they stopped making new episodes (and after they dropped the show from the ABC line up). Now even once-in-a-while ABC Family will pick up some new episodes to air to pull in the raitings (but we won't go there with ABC Family and Eisner's whole buying spree there....)
