FIRSTbase downloader + proxy?

Does anyone know how to get the downloader to work with a proxyfied internet connection? It'll log in (apparently), and "start" the download, but the progress bar doesn't move and eventually the app crashes. I've emailed Autodesk a couple of times, but no luck so far.
