^_^ Angsty. Great word that is. Heh, it's actually come up in a lot of conversations recently. o_o
Boys: Lucas, Tristan, Demetrius, Malachite, Vincent, Alecksandre, Leon, and Victor. Girls: Victoria, Lenore, Eleanor, Lucille, Anastasia, Reigna, Aria, Xelia (Honestly, who's name starts with an X?), Adorina, Amber, Lila, Rosaline, Zeria, Takeshi, Mischa, and Siran. ^^; I like those names that you have to pause and think about before you pronounce them. |

Re: Name Your Kids
In addition to naming 7 kids Fabrizio,
I have decided to have an additional 10 more. Red One-Five and Blue One-Five. I think that summarizes my interests . |

In the book of Esther, Vashti was the queen who was deposed because: a) she was wicked and rebellious, or b) she was righteous and stood up to her indecent husband --depending on which interpretation you favor. So you may or may not want to name your daughter after this famous divorcee. At least two women in the Bible bore the name Tamar. It's a beautiful name for beautiful women, but their love lives were even more problematic than Vashti's, to put it mildly. I won't elaborate, but the sordid details are recounted in Genesis chapter 38 and 2 Samuel chapter 13. Quote:
I used to write stories, so I got some practice naming the characters. The fun thing about this is that your characters can't get mad at you if you give them a bad/stupid/ridiculous name. ![]() |

I still write stories. That's where most of my names come from. ^_^ It's always fun to imagine what you'd name someone and why. I don't know how some people can be like, "See my baby, yeah, his name is Tom." oO! |

Very distinguished name you have Shaver. Funny thing though, I think I know your dad from many years back. Did he go to college in Lexington?

Re: Name Your Kids
I have always liked the names Amber & Max for a girl and boy respectively.
And plus, there hasn't been any of those in my family yet that I know of. But with my last name, I could have a ton of fun choosing names. My parents stuck with a family name from a great-great grandfather of mine for my name, and no, they didn't have a sense of humor and pick it randomly like a lot of people think. There were many men in my family with my dad's name, and I wasn't going to be a 4th. So, they went back 4 generations and picked my name. If we had known more of my family's genealogy at the time, they could have gone with Samuel which was Elgin's father way back when. But Elgin it was. |

Re: Name Your Kids
Every name I've run across my girlfriend has gotten shot down. She's conservative, I'm liberal. She wants them out of the Bible or traditional, I want something unique. We've settled on Evelyn Kathleen for a girl, though. That's my grandmother's first name and her middle name. The boy's middle name will be Allen like mine. So what about a boy's first name? Here's a few suggestions from me:
Atlas Allen Johnson Blaire Allen Johnson Kai Allen Johnson Kekoa Allen Johnson Atom Allen Johnson <---- My latest to get shot down... |

Re: Name Your Kids
I really haven't thought about boy's names that much, although if I have sons, I would like one of them to be named after their father.
But, I have thought about girls names: Linnea Ayla Naomi Linnea (pronounced LIN-NAY-AH) is the name of one of the closest female friends I have ever had (who happens to have a beautiful and unusual name), and I would like to honor her by naming one of my daughters after her. It is of Scandinavian origin, and its meaning is "lime or linden tree." It is also the name of a small pink mountain flower that was named after the Swedish botanist Carl Linnaeus, inventor of the universally recognized system of classifying plants and animals. So, the name would also reflect my interests in science and nature. Ayla (pronounced with a long "A") is the name of my favorite fictional female character out of the series of books by Jean Auel (the Earth's Children series). I love the sound of this name, as well as the strong woman the name represents. Ayla, the fictional character, shows intelligence, leadership, and the ability to innovate, and is a worthy namesake. Naomi is another female name which I have always had great fondness for (I like the delicate sound). Naomi is also the name of my first "BFF" I had in elementary school, so I have another personal reason to choose that name. It is of Hebrew origin, and its meaning is "pleasant." It is also a Biblical name, although that is not the reason for me choosing it. Mostly I enjoy the sound, and its connotations of femininity and beauty. Quote:

and... I am Irish and my name is all messed up too. Conor is just a part of the Irish awesomeness! As for middle names, my first born son will have my husbands name as their middle name, for girls they will get whatever I think of at the time. |

![]() I've always like J and M names. For a boy I would love to name them Joseph, but there are a lot of Josephs in my family. I've always liked John too, and with the name complications that is probably what I'd aim for. For a girl, Melanie or Melissa. They just have a nice ring to them. |
