Re: You know you've overdosed on FIRST when...

When you plan a rip-off of a funny Nextel commercial involving FIRST robots. (Check youtube sometime soon to find it...as soon as we film it, hehe...)

When a valid excuse (in your mind) for having no homework completed is "It's robotics season."

When your teachers accept the above excuse.

When the electronics teacher unlocks the computer lab early every morning so you can play with Inventor drawings of the robot.

When you have to choose which will be the last thing you fit into your backpake - the homework or the robotics notebook - and the robotics notebook wins by a landslide.

When you temporarily forget how to think due to sensory overload after an all-day meeting on kickoff.

When you're already so tired you no longer have control of your mouth and what comes out of it. (Don't ask.)

when you show up to school and work looking sleepy and your teachers and bosses say season start already?

when your robotics work place is more of a home than your real home

I've done that AND made a rather odd noise that was some weird mix of two other words (nothing to do with robotics, but it was after a meeting and my brain was fried). It was funny enough without being in the middle of Wal-Mart.

You know you've OD'd when you get in (several) arguements about arm design viability in several different chat windows and manage not to get them mixed up.

When you've re-recorded your cell phone answering message to include something about robotics (because there isn't any reception in our workshop AT ALL).

Mine did too.

"Katie why didn't you do your homework?"
"I was at a Regional..."
"It was due the day after you left..."
"I was so excited I forgot?"
"Ok, fine. But I really shouldn't be accepting this."
