Designing a new gearbox, Help
I am the captain and also head of mechincal design on my team. We are trying to prototype a 2 speed trans. but we do not have the luxury of having a well skilled trans. mentor. So i have started to design a 2 speed gearbox on my own. I have an idea what i want. This is what i have so far. So please people with know-how on the matter please put your input on it and give suggestions
the specs are 1st 40 tooth -30 tooth 2nd 50 tooth -20 tooth both driver gears are being power by two 12 tooth meshing onto the 40 tooth the shifting mechanism is a ball lock shifter type similar to team 222's tigerdrive. |
