**FIRST EMAIL**/2007 FRC Competition Manual Information

Greetings Teams:

The first four chapters of the 2007 FRC Competition Manual are now available on our website in the form of '.pdf' files at http://www.usfirst.org/community/frc...nt.aspx?id=452. These chapters are Communications, Team Organization, At The Event, and Robot Transportation.

The remaining chapters will be encrypted and available for download prior to Kickoff. An email will go out to all FRC Teams indicating when they are posted on our website along with instructions for decrypting them.

Adobe Acrobat Reader version 7 or higher is recommended to view chapters of the 2007 FRC Competition Manual. If you do not have it, you may download the latest version for free via the following link:

Section 3.3.7 -
• Carts must remain in the team pit area when not in use for robot transportation
• All carts should fit through a standard 30-inch door
• Wheels on the cart must not damage site flooring
• Do not add music to the cart.

It appears that teams that have installed sound systems in their carts won't be able to use them. Has this rule been in the handbook in the past? I wonder how strongly FIRST will enforce this rule, because many teams have spent a lot of time and money putting sound systems on their robot carts.
