Re: 2007 Official FRC Game Hint / Email Blast

My thoughts are pretty vague (and scattered), but I believe that this might help.

Blue + circle (from the top) + rectangle (from the side) + 5 (gallons) = something to do with the game

A cylinder is a shape that we have never dealt with yet and it is possible that they will throw something new at us. The cylinders might be filled with something for weight, though they probably wont be. The cylinders could be moved around the field strategically, possibly stacked for bonus points.

The diamond plate is on the field somewhere, as always. I doubt they will change the team and alliance format (3 v 3).

Re: 2007 Official FRC Game Hint / Email Blast

the funny thing is that almost everything we are guessing may or may not be right or wrong. We could argue that the game this year has this this and this to do with it solely based on the fact that the game piece from 2006 is a tetra which has 6 edges, and it was the first year to allow 6 team on the field during play..............OOOO conspiracy how fun.........

A search for "logo" didn't turn this up, so... does anyone think the object in lower right of the blue background is a slightly distorted triangle from the FIRST logo?

Just me? Okay...

hmm i dont know if its been mentioned before but...maybe we have been looking at this in the wrong way...maybe it is the number 5 but not the english number 5...in roman numerals 5=V...maybe the letter V is what dave was getting at....a V shaped field...V shaped objects....or even V shaped dimond plated robots!
also if u turn a V upside down...and put it on top of anthother right side up V you get a dimond...so half of that would make a triangle..maybe we are bringing back the tetras....and 2 Vs in roman numarals makes 10 or X...its really late and i could just be crazy...i probibly am but it just accured to me while watching V for Vendetta that 5=V and that got me thinking...so take what you want from this post...or any of my others...these are my ideas..well except the plinko one...that was a teammate of mines

It could be a pyramid?

or wait.. a TRAFFIC CONE? Remember the demand for that a few years ago?

I've also been getting on the baseball game boat..

Remember dlavery's Go! stop! stop! go! "hint" -- when you are playing baseball, you have to "wait" for an opportunity to go around the bases.

I'm also thinking of the game red light, green light that I played with my sister as a kid. Still had to wait for the "opportunity" to move without getting caught.

I also keep thinking of the game Jax.

Suggestions have been made for hula-hoops, and things of that nature, so I guess its possible.

(btw, I'm just playing off everyone else at this point.. I realized long ago that I didn't have a clue what this hint means..)

Re: 2007 Official FRC Game Hint / Email Blast

Here's a thought that my mentor had. He said the Plate reminded him of the front plate of a boilermaker and connected it with the old nickle-plate railroad. So he thinks bridges or rails. I think we will have bridges, because of last years game hint with the banana, i think it is symbolic of slipping and falling off a bridge into a virtual river in the middle of the field.

Re: 2007 Official FRC Game Hint / Email Blast

Two sports related thoughts, 5 is the number of not only Joe DiMaggio the consecutive games with a hit leader but also of Pete Rose, the playuer with the most hits ever, as well several other hall of famers.

My other thought is that Diamond plate is steel, and the Pittsburgh Steelers just won their 5th championship in football so maybe we have a football game piece this year.

Ouch. That made me cringe.
