Re: 2007 Official FRC Game Hint / Email Blast

I give up reading through all of these. Every time i get back on, there are more and more pages of stuff. I can wait the 14 days to find out what the game is going to be. I have seen some good ideas though. Maybe in the next two weeks I'll have enough free time to read all the post.

I disagree, I think there may be things hidden in that background.. 5 things?

You may be right, though.. we'll find out in a couple weeks!

I agree. The blue background is probably just to make people talk about the probability that there will be a water game.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was just a bunch of random blue swirls.

Re: 2007 Official FRC Game Hint / Email Blast

I doubt that the blue background is just pure chance.

I think FIRST is changing the alliance colors to prevent things like the Red Advantage we have seen in the past. I think the two colors this year will be Blue, and "clear-plastic-blue". That way, neither side gets an advantage.

They've done 3 teams on the field. That was a bit before your time though--they started 2-team alliances in 1999 or so.

Re: 2007 Official FRC Game Hint / Email Blast

You know, I was thinking about the whole "squish meets squash, rise and wash" quote, when I had a thought. "Squish meets squash" makes me think of two things colliding, and "rise and wash" makes me think of said things recoiling from the impact, and possibly getting splashed. When I put those together, I got... BUMPER BOATS! Now that could be interesting, but I'm not sure how it would play as a FIRST game, but still, it could be fun...

But when there were 3 on the field, it was 1v1v1 was it not? Unless my research has been wrong...

Re: 2007 Official FRC Game Hint / Email Blast

My first thought was the five is on a round diamond plate, 5 of diamonds maybe. But then I thought that a 5 diamonds bid in bridge is a game bid, So maybe we’re looking at a bridge on the field again,(blue background blue water). Perhaps the field is laid out like a 5 of diamonds with diamond shaped playing pieces. Maybe even a round playing field.

The field could be made up of five diamond-shaped "islands" connected by bridges. There probably wouldn't be actual water around the islands, but it could be that if you go in the "water" you are automatically taken out of the game.

Maybe the lack of a second clue is a clue!
