Re: So What Did You Give this Holiday Season?

I got my dad a USB turntable so he can convert his albums into mp3s or CDs. It also has a built in pre-amp so he can replace his old (non-pre-amp) turntable.

That sounds really cool- do you have a link and/or name of the product?

It's a Numark TTUSB. He's already converting his records and it sounds pretty good. I've heard Earth, Wind & Fire - All In All and now Chuck Mangione is playing. It comes with Audacity to do noise removal and editing and things.
You can get the at Guitar Center.

Re: So What Did You Give this Holiday Season?

Mom - an Angel for her collection

Dad - $25 gift card to his favorite restaurant (Thunder Bay Grill)

Grandma - MTU mug (her "brag mug" she's called it!), and some coffee/tea/hot cocoa to go with it.

Brother - $15 Starbucks gift card

Sister - Moulin Rouge, $10 in scratch off lottery tickets

Boyfriend - 1 gb flash drive, The Road to Dune book, 5x5 Rubik's Cube, The Elegant Universe DVD, a nice dress shirt, some jeans, an "in" to go to the Pewaukee Remote Kickoff (and he - a non-FIRSTer - is excited about going!)

Friend (Heather) - Body Shop manicure set

Friend (Sean) - Body Shop pedicure set

Pets - Chew toys (dogs), some small animal treats (guinea pig), frozen bloodworms (betta fish)

... I think that's it!

Oh, and I started my shopping on Dec. 23 and finished it this morning at about 2 am (thank goodness for online shopping and exchanging gifts with the boyfriend until January 5! )

Re: So What Did You Give this Holiday Season?

To Michelle Celio: a 1gb xD card, and a PANIC! at the Disco box set.

To my mom: another cookbook and some chocolate.

To my dad: new cordless phones as our current ones were dying.

To my sister: another culinary knife to help replace the old set that she had which were breaking (while knives typically give bad connotations, this gift didn't, since she, like every member of my family, loves cooking).

To my neices and nephew: some more toys to add to their already massive collections.

The best thing I gave was to my brother: I gave him some limbless knight PJ bottoms. He loves Monty Python and was so excited!
