Sugar Bowl

Amazing game for LSU, one more reason to bet on Florida to win the national championship.

I'm just hoping we don't lose JaMarcus Russel, his stats against Quinn's in a game like this would definitely make him a top pick in the draft.

Re: Sugar Bowl

Not a huge win, IMO, by LSU. Notre Dame was way overrated. I did love to see the Golden Domers drop their ninth straight bowl game. Personally, I don't think Jamarcus Russell goes pro - nor should Adrian Peterson. Russell would be a high draft, but he still has a lot to work on and he'll be a top Heisman candidate. But according to Notre Dame fans, Jimmy Clausen, top rated incoming Freshman, is going to win 4 Heisman's and win 5 National Championships. <---Do the math and it's a joke. So Russell might as well go pro.

Good game by LSU as a whole. Russell's numbers were backed up by solid recievers. Probably the most talented team as a whole, LSU is.

As much as I'm a pro-SEC fan and an anti-Big11 fan, I don't think Florida can hang four quarters with tOSU. Maybe three at best but that Ohio State team is just so well rounded. Leak will make mistakes. But I'll be rooting for them.

Off topic: It's nice to be able to talk (smack) about football on here. You normally don't get sports enthusiasts or tolleration on forums like this.

Re: Sugar Bowl

I'm glad Notre Dame got pummeled.
I'm sick and tired of them being thought of the begining and end of all things college football.
There are more revelant programs in college football than them. But they always get all the hype. From getting thier own network (The Notredame Football Network AKA NBC) to soma analysists having the absurd notion that you can't win the Hiesman trophy unless you have a big game against ND. Outrageous!
Talk about living in the past.

Re: Sugar Bowl

Being an LSU grad (and being born and raised in Baton Rouge), I found the game quite satisfying.

If the same Florida team shows up to play OSU that showed up against LSU, it should be an interesting championship game.

I'm still pulling for a real play-off system.
